DAY1. Arrival 

​

On your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will meet our Drive guide and brief you about everything, later transfer you to the Hotel where you will spend a night.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour

​

After breakfast, the driver guide will pick you from the hotel and then visit Rwanda Art Museum which gives you an insight into the life of a former president as well as the culture and history of Rwanda. You will get an overview of the country's history and its culture in the first part of the museum. Then, continue to the former president's house, which contains numerous art pieces and secret rooms. Here you can get a glimpse into the lifestyle of the former president then after you will go to Gisozi Genocide Memorial site which is the final resting place for over 250,000 victims of the 1994 Genocide against Tutsi. Then after, you will go to the Campaign against genocide museum located in the parliament building, here you will hear the story of how FPR INKOTANYI stopped the Genocide.  After you will head to Pili pili Restaurant for lunch, after having a delicious lunch at Pili pili, our next stop will be Kimironko Market which is the huge covered market, teeming with people and the most wonderful stalls selling everything you can imagine from Fruits and Vegetables to cloth and craft product. Then in the evening, we will visit different art centers and galleries in town. Then later the driver will take you back to the Hotel. Later in the evening go for dinner.

Day 3: Eastern Village Tour

​

Early morning after breakfast, you will drive to the eastern part of Rwanda in the village where you will be able to interact with local community and experience village life by getting to see and learn a lot, like how to cook some local food then you eat together with the locals, you will participate in making banana (banana wine) from bananas, traditional basket weaving, fetch water using Jerry cans while we are hiking. Then after all that we will drive to Akagera National Park, on the arrival, you will check in to your place of accommodation then relax a little to get ready for the next day's activity.

Day 4: Akagera Game Drive

​

In the morning after having our delicious breakfast. you will start a day game drive in the park, where you will spend a full day in the park looking for different animals Akagera is now home to the safari’s big five animals which are: Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, the Black Rhinos, Antelopes plus Zebras. This will be a very rewarding experience so remember to carry your camera so as to capture every memorable event. Then after, drive back to Kigali.

DAY 5: Depart for Nyungwe National Park - visit King Palace Museum 

​

After breakfast you will depart for Nyungwe National park which takes about 6hrs drive via Butare, on the way you will visit the King's Palace museum at Nyanza, this museum is less about ancient history and more about royal residences. Behind the royal, you will visit Inyambo (sacred cows) with their super-sized horns, which they seem to like nothing better than having lullabies sung to them

The royal residence of King Mutara III Rudahigwa, built by Belgium in 1931. This colonial home served at the royal palace until he died. Unfortunately, most of the furniture and gifts he received from visiting dignitaries were stolen. During the genocide, but it’s still an interesting home of wander through, with its peculiarities, including three sitting rooms. There are also excellent panels about Rwanda's history. Then after you will visit the Ethnographic Museum. It was donated in 1989 by the Belgium government with some ethnic collection, the design and concept all realized in cooperation with the Royal Museum of Central Africa of Nervure, Belgium. Ethnographic objects are grouped together according to the theme giving premium information on daily life. Traditional Ceramics and basketry are still manufactured and belong to the finest handicrafts of the region. The National Museum remained surprisingly untouched during the 1994 Genocide. Later drive to Nyungwe Nziza for overnight

DAY 6: Kitabi tea Plantation + Canopy walk

​

After breakfast, you will visit Kitabi Eco Centre for tea plantation experience. The experience will take about 2hours learning and testing tea from Rwanda. After the experience, you will drive to nyungwe national park headquarter and have lunch first later in the afternoon go for the canopy walk. The canopy walkway provides an exhilarating perspective on the ancient treetops and wildlife. The canopy walk sets 60 me­ters above the ground with a 150-meter walkway and is the first of its kind in East Africa and third on the continent after South Africa and Ghana. It allows visitors to see the forest from above the trees and be at eye level.

DAY 7: Chimpanzee Trekking - Depart for Kibuye.

​

This is a memorable day with primates. Take an early morning breakfast then drive to this park for the starting point of your chimpanzee trek. Two species of chimpanzee occur in Africa. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee). The largest remaining populations occur in central Africa (Gabon, DR Congo, and Cameroon). With only 400 individuals, the population in Rwanda is an endangered one. After trekking you will go for lunch thenDrive Kibuye. Kibuye lies at the eastern tip of Lake Kivu. Kibuye is often hailed as the most impressive scenic spot of the lake. The unpaved road gently curves back and forth as it weaves through hills and mountains beside the lake from Gisenyi to Cyangugu. Eucalyptus trees line the road, while every corner of the hills is terraced with bananas. Villagers smile and wave; you’ll end up with hands tired from waving, and feel like royalty at the end of the trip! Arrive for lunch at the Hotel then take a sunset boat trip to the island of Amahoro Napoleon’s island -with its colony of fruit bats (aptly known as one bar island as all it has on it is one bar). Deeply incised creeks, towering mountain ranges, and islands offer a magnificent panorama.

DAY 8: Departure to Gisenyi via Kivu Belt Road

​

After Breakfast, you will drive to Gisenyi using the Kivu belt road the Kivu Belt meanders through plenty of towns, sectors, districts, and a whole host of climates. Schools are located every few kilometers, as are restaurants, bars, and colorful markets. Though parts of the road can feel isolated, you’re never alone for too long. You will first check-in to the hotel and later go for a gisenyi city tour, visit the border of Rwanda and Republic of the Congo and later relax on the beach.

DAY 9: Depart To MUSANZE – City Tour and Gorilla Guardians

​

Musanze prides itself as Rwanda’s tourism hub with great attractions on offer. Apart from the iconic mountain gorillas found in Kinigi’s Volcanoes National Park, Musanze City Tour includes a trip to Dian Fossey Museum the work of the legendary conservationist Dian Fossey’s work is immortalized. Art galleries like Icuti and Ikirunga Art Galleries provide visitors with art pieces that depict Rwanda's cultural history and where visitors can also purchase some exquisite artwork as souvenirs. Then after lunch, we shall visit Gorilla Guardian which is located near Volcano National Park in Kinigi, Musanze district. This is a nonprofit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s volcanoes National Park through the provision of conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Gorilla Guardian is committed to showcasing the ways of living, traditional lifestyles, and dances to tourists, then after go to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: Twin Lakes Half Day Tour

​

After breakfast, you will drive to Burera District (30min Drive) and Visit the Twin Lakes. Lake Burera and Ruhondo the two lakes are called the Twin lakes Because the lakes are very close to each other and before it was one lake but after the volcanic Eruption the two Lakes were separated, one lake is in the valleys (Ruhondo) and another one is up the Mountains (Burera) 170m from the First one (Ruhondo). You will do a short hike around the lakes; you will reach the point where you will be able to see the view of both lakes. After the hike, you will go for Lunch on the peninsula, Have Fresh Tilapia from the lake or Fresh Vegetables that grow from the Islands, and then after lunch you will enjoy a Boat Ride around the Islands and later in the afternoon drive back to Kigali.
